About us:

The Disability Trust is committed to providing highly professional care and support to people with disabilities and their families. Based in regional NSW and the ACT, The Disability Trust provides a wide range of services to residents from Sydney in the north to the Victorian border. 

The Disability Trust has its roots firmly in the community, having been established in 1974 to help children with disabilities and their families in the Illawarra. In recent years we have grown substantially, and now have approximately 1200 permanent and casual staff providing care for more than 4000 clients. 

About the role:

The Disability Trust have exciting casual vacancies for Disability Support Workers across our Southern Highlands services.

We are looking for passionate and motivated people to join our team.  If you are innovative, creative and dedicated to enhancing the lives of people with disabilities then we strongly encourage your application. Key responsibilities of the role include supporting the participant with their personal care needs, encouraging their involvement within the community and assisting them to achieve their goals.

What we are looking for:

  • Genuine desire to provide the best quality care for people with disabilities
  • Excellent communication and proven computer skills
  • Initiative and drive to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Demonstrated awareness of disability issues
  • Drivers licence and access to a reliable/registered and insured vehicle
  • Working with Children Check
  • Cleared Criminal Record Check obtained within 12 months
